How light are titanium glasses?

So light it feels as if you are wearing nothing at all. That is what we say about our titanium glasses. But how light is light?

Where you notice it

You feel weight in two places: on your nose and behind your ears. Heavy glasses leave marks and slide down. Light glasses stay in place and ask for no attention. You only really notice the difference at the end of the day.

Why titanium can be so light

Titanium is more than forty per cent lighter than steel, and still strong. So very little material is needed. A rim can be very fine, a temple ultra-thin. On frames with an acetate front, the titanium temples keep the whole frame light.

Extra lightweight

If a frame looks thin and refined, it feels that way too. These models are extra lightweight, for example the TBL 1761, TBL 1752, TBL 1742 and TBL 1740.

The lenses count too

The frame is only part of the weight. The lenses determine the rest. Ask your optician about thin, light lenses. Together with a titanium frame, you have glasses you forget you are wearing.

Feel it yourself

Weight is something you have to experience. Try one of our frames at the optician and feel the difference. Find a point of sale near you.
